This site functions as my “garbage can” on the web where I can post things that concern and alarm me… When I have time, I will post various observations, comments, and rants — things that don’t fit too well over on the Hebrew4Christians site. It is my hope that you will be sobered and made vigilant after reading some of my observations about living as a Christian (and Messianic Jew) in a decadent and moribund culture.
As for my “political views,” well, they’re pretty simple. We are commanded by God to “obey the law” (Romans 13:1-5), but in the case of the United States of America, this must be understood to mean that we are to obey the U.S. Constitution. The law of the land here is the U.S. Constitution. Tragically, however, many people today seem willing to trade precious freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution for an illusory sense of “security” promised by various corrupt politicians of our age. Left unchecked, this pragmatic line of thinking – engineered by fear-mongering and various forms of propaganda – will eventually lead to full-blown fascism. We must never forget that the odious rise of Nazism in Germany happened in the midst of one of the most educated and cultured peoples of the world. It *could* happen here in the United States, and in fact is already under way. We must be vigilant and oppose tyranny and oppression, even if that makes us appear to others as being “unpatriotic” at times….
