GW Bush’s Universalism
Aug 27th, 2007 by jjp
According to BBC correspondent Justin Webb, ‘Nobody spends more time on his knees than George W. Bush.’
What a fascinating subject, nu? If this supposedly “Christian” president believes that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the “same god,” then he is either hopelessly unfamiliar with the irreconcilable differences between each of these Abrahamic faiths, or (as is more likely) he is a closet Freemason universalist who pretends to have a transcendent sort of understanding about how these faith systems “harmonize” in some esoteric manner. One thing is certain, however, and that’s that Mr. Bush is not to be taken seriously as a theologian, and evangelical Christians in the USA ought to take note.
