If all else fails, play the race card

[ I am tired of people using trumped up charges of “racism” as a rhetorical technique of distraction.  People should NEVER be judged on the basis of their race or gender, but solely on the basis of their character and integrity.  Why is it, then, that Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and others invariably invoke the specter of racism as a means of foiling any honest questions regarding ethics violations, etc.?  Who are the real racists here? ]


CNN talks to the Rev. Al Sharpton about the investigations into Reps. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and Maxine Waters (D-CA). He talks about if black leaders are being unfairly targeted.

“If you begin to see a pattern of people being called on — to being investigated, allegations that end up [to be] nothing. One would be very naive not to say ‘well, wait a minute, why should we rush to judgement?’ in particular when we have Charlie Rangel, who has done so much for his district and the country and Maxine Waters,” Sharpton said.
