Slandering Ron Paul as Anti-Semitic

Here are some comments I’ve read from others regarding the ongoing slander that Ron Paul is “anti-Semitic.”

First it should be stressed that Ron Paul’s own personal hero’s are two Jewish economists: Murray Rothbard and Ludwig von Mises.

Second, to claim Ron Paul is “anti-Israel” is absurd. No, he’s against foreign interventionism — whether on behalf of Israel or any other state. To imply Dr. Paul is somehow anti-Semitic because his principled foreign policy ALSO applies to Israel is lazy thinking — and disingenuous. Paul doesn’t believe it is America’s responsibility (or right) to be the “world’s policeman.” After Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, it’s clear that America has lost its moral authority in the world anyway…

Third, not agreeing with U.S. foreign policy towards Israel does not make you anti-Semitic, or even anti-Israel, for that matter… It is entirely possible to be 100% pro-Jewish yet to oppose US meddling in Israeli politics, after all.

Fourth, Dr. Paul’s articles on foreign policy make it very clear that he follows the founders advice on foreign issues: “Commence with all nations, Alliance with None” (Thomas Jefferson).

Fifth, if American Jews really cared about Israel, over 75% of them would not have voted for Barack Obama–the most anti-Israel President ever.

etc. etc.

It is sad that Christian America BLEW it by passing up Dr. Paul as candidate for president — insanely choosing John McCain(!) instead. Oh well — people get the leader they deserve, and therefore the country is on the road to perdition…
